Jerry is past president of the NV Arts Council, Commissioner of the City of Las Vegas Arts Commission and the Director of Galleries for UNLV.

Jeanne is an experienced Art Gallery Coordinator with a history of working in government arts administration. She’s professionally skilled in a variety of mediums and has been teaching adult art classes for over 10 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Artful Lives.

In her time before crossing the rainbow bridge, Sookie was a charming champion of animal welfare in North Las Vegas. She is inspiring us now to join animal welfare with the arts to uplift the future generations who will live in North Las Vegas.

CERAMICS INSTRUCTOR

Kevin Calkins is Artful Lives’ ceramics instructor. Kevin holds a BA in Art Education from Bemidji State University. His daytime job is teaching various art forms at Bishop Gorman High School. In art, his first passion is making 3D sculptures, forms, and functional objects- principally in ceramics. He is showing work in “Saturation” gallery in the arts factory through July 2024.

Lily is a senior at Cal Poly Humboldt where she is pursuing a degree in Computer Science. She is passionate about leveraging technology to support and enhance the arts community, and is dedicated to creating engaging, user-friendly digital experiences. Lily deeply appreciates Artful Lives' mission and is committed to furthering its goals through innovative web solutions.
